The History of All About Embroidery

Our custom tailored projects are designed for today's astute stitcher
and quilter. We welcome all Bernina V7 Software
owners in Ventura County,
Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County.

When Baron's Fabrics closed in 2011, after forty years in business, and based on the many requests made by our students, we started a small business to enable us to continue teaching Bernina V7 Software and embroidery classes.

In August of 2011 Joan and Diane began teaching Bernina software stitch out classes in their new company, All About Embroidery. In these classes students create a Bernina Software design, then embroider that design on to a base that will become a finished project. Recently two local newspapers did stories on All About Embroidery. The Santa Barbara Independent and the Ventura County Star ran stories on how we teach students to machine embroider.

Usually we create an embroidered project like a leather wallet, pillows, table runners, lingerie, sewing machine covers, Christmas stockings, but sometimes students bring in a finished item like an embroiderable teddy bear, towel or jeans.  Many of these items are pictured in our Gallery of Projects, which you can visit from links on the AAE desktop computer home page.

To fulfill requests for training and other needs of our class attendees, we teach stand alone Bernina V7 Software classes and Bernina V7 project-based classes. Our students learn about the many interesting features and capabilities of their sewing machines.

In addition, we are constantly discovering new applications of the Bernina line, and teaching new techniques. In 2104 we added quilting classes. Simply stated our projects and teaching methods are unique.
